The historical existence of Surulere South LCDA can be traced to the official announcement of immediate past Governor, Senator Ishaq Abiola Ajimobi around December, 2016.
In the pronouncement of the Governor, he announced that additional (35) Thirty-Five Local Council.
Development Areas (LCDA) have been carved out of the existing Thirty-three (33) Local Government Areas in Oyo State having been approved by the Oyo State House of Assembly.
To operate an open door policy, enable the Local Council Development Area to listen to the needs and yearning of the good people of Surulere South LCDA
To deliver the dividends of democracy by providing social amenities to the nooks and crannies of this Local Council Development Area being the most closest to the people at the grassroot.
